Designed so they can be completed in one year, each certificate program's schedule accommodates the working professional. In general classes meet one evening a week and the occasional Saturday. Through the course of study participants will have access and will learn how to most effectively apply technology. Professional practices necessary to be effective in the field of study are taught throughout the program in a practical business setting. Academic Advisors provide guidance and continuity for those enrolled in the program.

Programs are designed with the needs of business and professional development in mind. Advanced Engineering Tools, Bioprocess Engineering and ndoor Environmental Quality require a bachelor's degree and course work is at a graduate level offered through accredited academic institutions. The Strategies Series in Sustainable Design is offered for individuals interested in developing their professional skills. There are no degree requirements for participation in the Strategies Series. Depending upon professional requirements, all certificate programs may qualify for Continuing Education Units (CEUs), Professional Development Hours (PDHs) and/or Professional Development Units (PDUs) for professional engineers and architects.
