The essential job functions require you to perform chemical analyses to enure compliance with the plant water chemistry. Operates, calibrates and maintains equipment used to perform chemical and radiochemical analyses. Maintains materials aand supplies required for operation of the chemistry and radiochemistry laboratories.Assists in the training of chemistry personnel, ensures compliance with cleanliness requirements, Conducts and evaluates special studies in areas of corrosion and corrosin control.
Job Specifications:
Knowledge:
Knowledge of principles of chemistry, radiation safety, laboratory techniques and apparatus and plant systems. Comprehension level sufficent for analyzing operation procedures involving technical language, anticipating secondary effects of primary actions and calculating mathematical results.
Competencies:
Safety consciousness, decision quality, problemm solving, dealing with ambiguity, customer focus, results driven, business relationship, technical/professional knowledge.
Work Settings
This is a demanding position and individuals must be willing to devote to all aspects of the job.
Education
High School dipolma or equivalent and a minimum of four years of experience in the fields of water treatment, radio-chemical analysis or chemical analysis or the equivalent combination of formal education/training and experience.

40 hour work week, required overtime.
