Electrical Engineers have, today, become the indispensable to society because of the increasing demand for electrical energy. The role of an electrical engineer is to design and develop more efficient power systems, and control equipment for the generation, transmission and distribution of electrical energy. n the solar field, electrical engineers are involved in Research and Development groups at national laboratories, universities, and private companies to develop and continually improve solar products to lower their costs and improve their reliability. They may be involved in the design of solar-powered buildings and the engineering and integration of renewable energy systems.
Education
To become an electrical engineer, it is necessary to have at least a Bachelor's degree electrical engineering.
Job Outlook
Electrical Engineers should have good job opportunities, and employment is expected to increase about as fast as the average for all occupations through 2014. Job growth is expected to be fastest in service- providing industries--particularly consulting firms that provide expertise in electronics engineering.
Salary
Experienced Electrical Engineers can make between $50,000 and $80,000 per year depending on educational level and experience.
