The Special Events/Festival/Conference Planner assists in the development, planning and implementation of special events, including the formulation of theme, format and budget specifications. This individual determines staffing needs and work schedules necessary to implement special events and works with advertising and public relations to ensure the public is informed of events. The planner maintains awareness of changes in the marketplace that may impact the nature of events in the future.
Education
A degree is preferred in Marketing or Public Relations with three years experience in promotions, productions or public relations.
Skill Requirements
The Special Events/Festival/Conference Planner must demonstrate superior customer service skills and maintain an upbeat, positive attitude, positive energy and enthusiasm from one interaction to the next.
