The Front Desk Manager is responsible for organizing, staffing and maintaining the front desk at the hotel/resort. The Front Desk Manager implements front desk procedures and trains and evaluates front desk staff. These individuals produce reports as needed and must maintain close communication with other members of the management team.


Most Front Desk Managers hold an associate's degree or have 2 years experience.


Most Front Desk Managers in the region earn between $20,000 and $28,000 per year.

Skill Requirements

The Front Desk Manager must be an expert in customer service. Multi-tasking is an important skill. As guests will generally bring most of their concerns and complaints to the front desk, the Front Desk Manger must be able to problem solve in an efficient manner. Human Resource skills are important as well as computer skills.
