Prepares layout drawings and complex detail drawings under direction of designers and engineers.
Work Settings
Office setting using computers and computer systems (including hardware and software) to complete required tasks. While many manufacturers operate 24 hours/day, this position usually works during first shift.
Education
Prerequisite for this classification is the knowledge of manufacturing methods, shop tolerances, engineering and manufacturing standards and drafting practices normally acquired by a high school graduate with a minimum of 4 or 5 years of drafting experience.
