Electronic Technicians perform technical assignments under the supervision of an engineer. They investigate and select technical data pertinent to a project. They make calculations employing prescribed mathematical formulas and assists data processing systems analyst to organize technical data and formulas for processing. At higher levels, Electronic Technicians may prepare preliminary sketches and design drawings, engineering specifications and reports. At lower levels Electronic Technicians assemble and perform internal analytical testing working from sketches, samples, diagrams and other instructions.
Work Settings
Electronic Technicians work in lab or shop settings.
Education
Lower level jobs require technical training in basic electronics. Higher level jobs may require a 2-year technical or vocational degree in relevant field and on-the-job experience.

Average weekly earnings in CNY in 2005 range from $732 to $993, depending on the level of responsibility and education/experience required.
Work Schedule
