In accordance with sound and accepted engineering principals, carries out engineering design, development, test and product change activities. Communicates engineering information and product requirements both internally and externally. Works effectively in a team environment either as a team member or a lead person. Manages support people (lab technicians, drafters, Engineering Services) effectively. Assures that products are designed, tested, and manufactured to meet product goals for safety, performance, reliability, manufacturability, and cost. Uses available technical resources to assure that products continue to be first in the market with respect to safety, performance, reliability, and cost.
Work Settings
Office setting; Practical application of engineering science and technology. The average workweek is 40 hours. While many manufacturers operate 24 hours/day, this position usually works during first shift.
Education
Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent. (6-8 years experience).

Average annual earnings in CNY in 2005 were $78,177 with an average annual bonus of $3,871.
