Under the direction of the Manufacturing Manager, develops and implements a quality system which complies with ISO requirements. Investigates practices and procedures and performs internal quality systems audits to determine quality standards and whether these standards are being met. Implements corrective action as needed. Communicates quality systems progress and objectives to company personnel. May train personnel in the development of quality methods and procedures. Contact third party registrar to conduct quality audit.
Work Settings
Office on or close to manufacturing floor. The average workweek is 40 hours. While many manufacturers operate 24 hours/day, this position usually works during first shift.
Education
Bachelors degree or associates degree with 2-4 years job related experience; complete ISO internal auditor training class
