Operate a small storeroom, stockroom or toolcrib. Perform all storeroom, stockroom or toolcrib functions including counting material, storage and distribution, fill requisitions, accumulate orders, take periodic inventories, dispose of obsolete materials, deliver to proper department, maintain inventory records manually or by computer, etc. May be assigned to a large storeroom or toolcrib, working under the direction of a higher storekeeper or cribkeeper.
Work Settings
Small storeroom, stockroom or toolcrib; may be secured. The average workweek is 40 hours. Shift work and overtime is common. Many manufacturers operate 24 hours/day.
