Production Planning and Control Manager

Establishes production schedules, including material procurements and manufacturing schedules. Prepares production analysis charts, job and machine load forecasts and labor forecasts. Takes necessary action to eliminate delays and ensure adherence to production and shipping schedules. Follows up actual against scheduled production and prepares project completion reports. Works with the purchasing department to ensure adequate and proper flow of materials. Cooperates with other departments in the development of adequate records for production planning and control purposes.
Work Settings
Office and manufacturing floor setting. The average workweek is 40 hours. While many manufacturers operate 24 hours/day, this position usually works during first shift.
Education
Bachelor's degree and 8+ years job related experience
