Count and pack a variety of parts or products in cartons, cases, or other containers for shipment or storage. Use packing material as necessary to prevent breakage or damage may wrap package and boxes using banding equipment such as strapping, crimper and stapler. Check against packing lists for inclusion of all component parts or completed units; apply special labels or stencils where necessary. May keep records, move pallets to stockroom.
Work Settings
Warehouse, distribution center and/or manufacturing shop floor setting. The average workweek is 40 hours. Shift work and overtime is common. Many manufacturers operate 24 hours/day.
